Composite Decking Supplier for Norway — Factory Direct WPC

BOHAI manufactures WPC decking at its own extrusion plant in Sihui, Zhaoqing, Guangdong. For Norwegian importers, builders’ merchants, contractors and project suppliers comparing a composite decking supplier, the profile, colour, accessory pack, document scope and packing plan are answered by the factory rather than passed through a trading chain.

Norway already has an established market for kompositt terrassebord, terrassebord i kompositt and WPC terrassebord. A new factory source must therefore solve the commercial details that matter locally: non-EU customs clearance, NOK exposure, short installation seasons, coastal fixings, meltwater drainage, physical samples and batch-matched stock.

Our minimum order is 70 m². It can test one fjord-side terrace, cabin project, urban roof deck or focused dealer range before a wider commitment. Oslo is the first route to compare for the largest inland market; Bergen deserves its own calculation for western Norway.

Oslo or Bergen? Price the Route to the Norwegian Warehouse

Norway is not one inland market behind one port. The receiving location and coast decide which route deserves the first quotation.

Oslo serves the largest concentration of demand

Port of Oslo describes YILport Oslo as Norway’s largest and most modern container terminal and states that half of Norway’s population lives within a three-hour drive. That makes Oslo the first route to price for eastern and central demand, not an automatic answer for the whole country. Port of Oslo cargo overview.

Bergen changes the west-coast calculation

Port of Bergen describes its freight terminal as a regional sea-cargo hub and reports regular European feeder connections. For western Norway, compare a Bergen route with an Oslo discharge plus a long domestic leg. Port of Bergen freight terminal.

Use the same delivery point and board length

Compare ocean or feeder freight, terminal costs, customs clearance, inland haulage, unloading and container return to the same warehouse. Long boards also change container packing, local vehicle choice, rack length and project waste.

The Decking Range

Capped co-extrusion and classic uncapped, hollow and solid. Six sections that cover most distributor and project briefs.

Norway Already Understands Composite Decking

The category does not need an introduction. A trade offer must prove why its profiles, documents and service belong beside established local ranges.

Use the product terms buyers already use

Norwegian buyers commonly search for kompositt terrassebord, terrassebord i kompositt and WPC terrassebord. Those phrases identify the category; the distributor still differentiates profile construction, cap coverage, colour, accessory system, warranty, documentation and availability.

Low maintenance is not maintenance-free

Composite decking does not need annual oiling or staining, but leaves, salt deposits, organic dirt and winter debris still need cleaning. Drainage gaps and outlets must remain open. BOHAI does not use an absolute “maintenance-free” promise.

Use 70 m² to test a coherent offer

A first order can validate one profile, a focused colour pair, matching clips and joists, packaging, installer feedback and the selected customs route. The next order can widen the range using actual Norwegian sales evidence.

What the Board Is Made Of, and What the Surface Does

The specification starts with the construction, not the colour name.

60% wood powder, 30% HDPE, 10% additives

WPC board composition and capped co-extrusion layer

On the capped range a co-extruded polymer shield wraps the WPC core. The shield is the wearing layer and carries the fade, stain and scratch resistance. Classic boards are uncapped, which lowers cost but changes the cleaning and weathering expectations.

Sections and textures are separate decisions

Capped WPC decking profile cross sections with dimensions

A complete specification names the range, profile, surface texture and colour. The full profile schedule is on the models page. Do not carry a span or metre weight from one section to another simply because the face width looks similar.

The gaps are working parts of the deck

Side and end gaps allow thermal movement and carry water off the face. They are not cosmetic tolerances. On exposed roof terraces or cold inland projects, blocked gaps turn rain and trapped water into standing water; on a long summer terrace, missing end gaps can turn expansion into buckling.

Colours — Three Ranges

Colour and texture are selected independently from the profile.

The full colour card

BOHAI WPC decking colour card for capped, classic and 3D embossed ranges

Capped co-extrusion: Teak, Antique, Redwood, IPE, Light-grey, Walnut.
Classic uncapped: Teak, Redwood, Walnut, Coffee, Chocolate, Ebony.
3D embossing: Teak, Red Wood, Walnut, Chocolate, Light Grey, Dark Grey.

Judge the sample where the project will be built

A sheltered Oslo courtyard, a west-coast house and a high-exposure cabin do not read the same colour in the same way. Put the physical sample outdoors at the project and compare it in wet, dry and low winter light. Dark exterior surfaces still absorb more solar heat, so shade and barefoot use belong in the colour decision.

Order the whole visible area in one batch

Pigment is mixed into the extrusion run, so separate batches of the same named colour are not identical. Order one visible area together and keep spare boards from that batch. This matters on hotels and spa projects installed in stages.

Where Composite Decking Goes in Norway

Installation and Accessories

Put these details on the drawing before the frame is built.

Gaps and double joists

WPC decking installation guide showing gaps, clips and double joists

5–7 mm between adjacent board sides, about 5 mm at a wall, and 3–5 mm at butt joints are the catalogue starting points. Butt joints sit on double joists so each board end has its own support. Final spacing and support centres must match the exact profile and project conditions.

Accessories, with sizes

WPC decking clips, trims and joists

The system includes starter clips, plastic hidden clips, expansion screws, 50 × 50 × 3000 mm corner trim, 40 × 30 × 3000 mm WPC joist and 40 × 25 × 2900 mm aluminium joist. Fixings and exposed metals still need to suit winter de-icing salt, pool chemicals or other project-specific exposure.

Ask About a Specific Profile

Send the profile, area, Norwegian delivery terminal or warehouse, and required stock date.

A real specification before a real price

Send the profile, colour, area, destination and whether this is project supply or dealer stock. We reply with a per-unit price, the applicable documents and a route structure.

Samples are free; courier is credited against the first order.

What Owning the Line Gives You

Capacity you can book against

Approximate production capacity is 2,000 tonnes a month. Send the volume and required arrival date; we answer with a production slot rather than treating lead time as a slogan.

Dies are ours

We own and cut the tooling used on our extrusion lines. That permits market-specific sections and gives us direct control over dimensional checks and repeat production.

A batch report travels with the goods

Routine checks are recorded before dispatch and the report travels with the shipment. Keep it with the commercial documents; it is often the first document requested on a public or hospitality project.

Certification: What We Hold, and the Exact Scope

Ask for the document itself and read the profile named on it.

ItemStatusScope
CE marking / CPRHeld, scopedCertificate M.2024.206.C97619, UDEM, valid to 11 March 2029; issued against EN 15534-1:2014+A1:2017 and EN 14041:2018 for the named decking profiles. Ask before assuming it covers another profile.
Declaration of PerformanceAvailable by profileThe reaction-to-fire declaration belongs on the DoP for the profile being quoted. It is not created by copying a class from another board.
Slip resistanceR10, scopedIntertek report 230625005SHF-001 under AS 4586-2013 Appendix D, measured on profile ZSGJ138H23A. It is a shod wet ramp result, not a barefoot pool classification.
ASTM E84Held, scopedClass A result on a named 138 × 23 mm board. This is a US test method and does not replace the European classification required for a Norwegian project.
ISO 9001 / ISO 14001HeldQuality and environmental management certificates valid to April 2027.

What We Do for a Norwegian Distributor

Define the sales channel and climate zone first

Dealer stock in Oslo, west-coast project supply and cabin work in colder inland districts need different profile, colour, accessory, stock and documentation decisions. We build the first offer around the buyer and exposure rather than an arbitrary container mix.

Send physical samples before a colour promise

Samples are free; the buyer pays the courier and we credit it against the first order. Compare colours outdoors in wet, dry and low-angle light, and request a sawn section so cap coverage, chamber geometry and clip grooves are visible.

Receive a per-unit quotation within 24 hours

Send the profile, colour, length, quantity, Norwegian delivery point, project exposure, target date and quotation currency. We return a fixed per-unit supply price rather than a broad retail range.

Keep every document attached to its profile

Certificates and test reports name their scope. We provide the current file for the exact board being quoted and state a gap instead of moving a result from one profile to another.

Norway: Port, Customs and Commercial Terms

Norway participates in the EEA but is outside the EU customs union. The landed comparison therefore needs its own customs and import-VAT line.

Design the Norwegian Deck for Water, Ice and Coastal Exposure

The board is only the wearing surface. Drainage, ventilation, support, hardware and snow-management details decide whether the complete terrace performs.

Meltwater needs a continuous exit

Keep the deck fall, side gaps and outlets clear through every layer. Fascia, sealant, planters and a low threshold must not turn the cavity into a tray. Provide removable access near drains where debris or ice can block the route.

Freeze-thaw makes trapped water the problem

Do not rely on the board alone to solve winter exposure. Standing water around clips, joists, pedestals or wall junctions can freeze repeatedly. The local designer sets the build-up, drainage and structural details for the actual site.

Specify every metal component for the coast

WPC does not rot like timber, but unsuitable clips, screws, brackets and subframes can corrode. The Norwegian responsible professional should name the metal grade for the exposure, and the requirement must run through hidden and visible connectors.

Snow load belongs to the structure

BOHAI supplies board dimensions and metre weight. A local responsible professional designs the joists, supports, anchorage, roof interface and snow-load capacity for the building and location. A decking product page cannot replace that calculation.

A Short Installation Season Rewards Earlier Stock Planning

Work backwards from the usable site window

Confirm the target arrival date, customs-clearance time, inland delivery and installation window before booking production. A cabin or island project may add ferry, access-road or storage constraints after the container lands.

Choose board length from the cut plan

Map common terrace dimensions, installer vehicle length, warehouse racks and waste before selecting stock. BOHAI can discuss 2.9 m, 3.6 m, 4.0 m and 5.8 m for relevant profiles, subject to current tooling and production planning.

Keep visible areas and spares in one batch

Pigment is compounded into the extrusion. Order the main area and maintenance spares together rather than expecting a later production run to be visually identical.

Three Norway-Specific Procurement Mistakes

Treating an EU arrival as Norwegian clearance

Norway is in the EEA but outside the EU customs union. A shipment landing first in an EU port still needs a valid route into Norway. Let the importer and broker define the declaration and transit shape before the purchase order.

Specifying the board but not the coastal hardware

“Stainless clips” is incomplete for a marine brief. The local responsible professional should state the site exposure and required grade, then apply it consistently to clips, screws, brackets, rails and the subframe.

Buying by linear metre instead of installed square metre

Compare board cover, cut waste, joists, clips, starter clips, fascia, fasteners, spare boards, freight, clearance, VAT treatment and labour. A lower board price can hide a higher completed-deck cost.

EEA Market, Separate Customs Territory, Norwegian Krone

Norway participates in the European Economic Area but is not part of the EU customs union or monetary union.

Customs and product documentation are separate checks

Norwegian Customs requires imported goods to be declared and classified. Product certificates and test reports do not replace the declaration, while customs clearance does not prove suitability for a building project. Norwegian Customs import guide.

State the quotation currency and validity

Tell us whether the supply quotation should be in NOK, EUR, USD or another agreed currency. BOHAI states the unit price and trade basis; the Norwegian importer controls exchange-rate policy, local NOK pricing and margin.

Ask for a revised quotation when an input changes

A change to profile, quantity, length, port basis, destination, currency or Incoterm deserves a revised offer rather than an edited spreadsheet. That keeps the landed comparison auditable.

Warranty, and How a Claim Works

Stepped, not flat

Capped co-extrusion carries a 15-year limited schedule and classic uncapped 10 years. The covered value reduces in bands over time; ask for the schedule rather than reading only the headline number.

It starts at the destination port

Cover runs from the date the goods arrive and are signed for at the destination port. Keep the arrival record, invoice and batch documentation together.

The batch documents matter

A claim is assessed against the product and schedule supplied with that batch. Photographs, installation layout, maintenance history and retained sample boards make the investigation faster.

Norwegian Product Terms Belong to a Trade Specification

This page supports Norway-specific supplier discovery without trying to replace BOHAI’s installation, cost and buyer-guide resources.

Manufacturer and supplier intent

Trade buyers comparing composite decking manufacturers, a composite decking supplier, composite deck suppliers or a composite deck material manufacturer need production proof, named documents, MOQ, samples, accessories and a delivered route. This is the Norway-specific supplier page.

Product and best-material intent

Norwegian buyers may search kompositt terrassebord, terrassebord i kompositt or WPC terrassebord. BOHAI supplies capped and classic composite decking, hollow and solid composite deck boards, alternative composite decking boards and coordinated accessories. The right composite decking material depends on exposure, profile, support, surface and warranty; that is also what makes a “best composite decking” comparison useful.

Installation and cost intent

A credible composite decking installation plan includes board direction, profile-specific support spacing, double joists at butt joints, movement gaps, drainage, clips, fascia and waste. The same inputs belong in a composite deck cost calculator and any comparison of composite decking cost.

Norway: Common Questions

Buying, route and customs

Are you a composite decking manufacturer or a trading company?

BOHAI is the manufacturer. We compound and extrude WPC decking at our plant in Sihui, Zhaoqing, Guangdong, cut dies in-house and issue a batch test report with every shipment.

What is the minimum order for Norway?

70 m². It can cover one real project or a focused dealer-range test before broader stock.

Should the container arrive through Oslo or Bergen?

Price both against the actual receiving point. Oslo serves the largest population concentration; Bergen can reduce the domestic leg for western Norway. The live sailing, feeder, terminal, customs, inland transport and return plan decide.

Does Norway use the same customs process as an EU member?

No. Norway participates in the EEA but is outside the EU customs union. The Norwegian importer or broker confirms commodity classification, declaration, import VAT and any current measure for the chosen route.

Which currency do you quote in?

Tell us whether the quotation should be in NOK, EUR, USD or another agreed currency and state the required validity. The importer owns exchange-rate policy and local resale pricing.

Product, winter and coastal exposure

Which boards suit a Norwegian coastal terrace?

Start with the complete assembly. Capped construction can improve surface colour and stain resistance, while the local responsible professional specifies hardware grade, subframe, drainage, anchorage and edges for the actual exposure.

Does the board carry the snow load?

The board is one component. BOHAI supplies profile dimensions and metre weight; a local responsible professional designs joists, supports, anchorage, roof interface and snow-load capacity for the building and location.

What installation gaps should be used?

Our guide shows 5–7 mm between board sides, about 5 mm from a capped board to a wall and 3–5 mm at butt joints. Every butt joint sits on double joists so each board end has its own support.

Are composite boards maintenance-free?

No. They need less routine treatment than timber and do not require annual oiling, but dirt, salt, leaves, snow-management debris and blocked drains still need attention.

Is the Norway hero a completed BOHAI project?

No. It is an AI-generated application illustration of a Norwegian fjord-side terrace and is not presented as a local installation reference.
