Why choose a sliding gate?

A composite sliding gate moves sideways along the boundary instead of swinging into the driveway, so the layout can preserve usable space where a swing arc would conflict with vehicles or the site plan. The aluminium-frame and WPC-infill format avoids the repainting cycle of a timber-filled gate. Final colour, exposure suitability and maintenance guidance should be confirmed against the quoted infill profile and a physical sample.

Tracked vs cantilever

Tracked sliding gates run on a ground rail and suit openings where a continuous, drainable track can be maintained. Cantilever gates keep the driveway clear of a ground rail but need additional side run-off and a foundation designed for the gate geometry. Choose after checking opening width, available side space, ground level, drainage and local wind or structural requirements.

Automatic and electric

Manual and automation-ready configurations are available. The quotation must identify the frame, rack, motor compatibility, gate mass, travel, safety edges, photocells, controls and local electrical requirements. Motor, access-control and safety components are confirmed for the destination and installer rather than assumed from the gate image.

Sizing & configurations

Single-slide gates normally need side run-off close to the opening width. Bi-parting or telescopic layouts can reduce the run-off required, but the final geometry depends on the opening, posts, foundations and hardware.
