Co-extruded WPC decking board, 23 × 138 mm — the profile our third-party testing was actually run on. Fire, slip and substance reports all sit on this section, which makes it the board to quote when a specification asks for documented evidence rather than a marketing claim: hotel terraces, public footpaths and commercial walkways where someone has to sign the evidence off.

Test evidence — laboratory, standard, report number, result

Surface burning (fire): SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services, Guangzhou Branch, report GZIN2404000442CM01-1_EN, 25 April 2024, to ASTM E84-23c. Flame Spread Index 10, Smoke-Developed Index 30, which meets the Class A criteria (Class A is FSI 0–25 / SDI 0–450, so FSI 10 sits well inside the band). Read two limits before you quote it: ASTM E84 Class A is an interior wall and ceiling finish classification under NFPA 101 and IBC Chapter 8 — it is not an exterior decking rating and not a wildfire or WUI rating. And the tested face was the white surface of model ZSGJ138H23; darker faces were not tested.

Slip resistance: Intertek Shanghai Fengxian, report 230625005SHF-001, AS 4586-2013 Appendix D (oil-wet ramp), measured 15°, classification R10. R10 spans 10°–19°, so 15° is mid-band rather than a threshold pass. Model ZSGJ138H23A.

Restricted substances: Intertek Guangzhou, report 240806112GZU-002, 19 August 2024, to RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and (EU) 2015/863 — Pass. Model ZSGJ138H23. RoHS formally governs electrical and electronic equipment rather than decking; we tested voluntarily because buyers ask for it.

A note on the model codes. The fire and RoHS reports name model ZSGJ138H23; the slip report names ZSGJ138H23A. We are confirming internally whether those designate the same tooling, and until we have, we quote each report against the code printed on it rather than merging them. If that distinction matters to your submission, ask and we will put it in writing.

Systems and product certification: ISO 9001 (IAS25924Q1473R0M) and ISO 14001 (IAS25924E0394R0M), valid to 29 April 2027. CE / CPR certificate M.2024.206.C97619, UDEM International Certification, valid to 11 March 2029. REACH is covered by a manufacturer's declaration of conformity — a declaration, not third-party certification.

Not held: ASTM D7032 / D7031, ICC-ES evaluation, DIN 51097 (barefoot wet areas such as pool surrounds), BS 7976 pendulum PTV, and CAL FIRE Building Materials Listing / SFM 12-7A-1 for Californian WUI work. Any of these can be arranged on this profile — you pay the lab fee up front and we credit it in full against the order. If your building department names a standard, tell us before you order rather than after installation.

FAQ

Does Class A mean I can use this in a wildfire zone? No. ASTM E84 Class A is an interior wall and ceiling finish classification. Californian WUI work is assessed against SFM 12-7A-1 with a CAL FIRE Building Materials Listing, which we do not hold. We would rather say so now than have the deck removed at inspection.

Does the R10 result cover your other decking? No — it was measured on this section. Quoting it against another profile is an extrapolation, and we will not put that in writing.

Can I specify this around a pool? Pool surrounds are barefoot wet areas, normally specified against DIN 51097 Class A/B/C. R10 comes from a shod ramp test and does not convert to that scale. We can arrange DIN 51097 on this profile, fee credited against the order.

Is the 15-year warranty flat? No, it is stepped: 100% in years 1–3, 80% year 4, 70% year 5, 50% year 6, 40% year 7, 30% years 8–9, 20% years 10–12, 10% years 13–15. It runs from delivery and signature at the destination port. It covers peeling, cracking and overall uneven fading; it excludes incorrect installation, impact damage, chemical attack and misuse.

MOQ, lead time and samples? 70 m², measured in square metres rather than full containers. Production is 20 days; sea freight to a UK port is about 55 days port to port on top of that, from Nansha or Yantian. Samples are free — you cover the courier and we credit it against your first order.
