Adjustable decking pedestal, 8,000 N working load, five height ranges covering 24–175 mm. For raised and floating decks where the finished surface has to sit above a waterproof membrane without penetrating it — roof terraces, podium decks and balconies. The bottom range starts at 24 mm, which matters on balconies because door threshold clearance, not strength, is usually what kills the build-up.
Specification — adjustable decking support
| Working load | 8,000 N per pedestal (8.0 kN — approx. 816 kgf / 1,798 lbs) |
|---|---|
| Height ranges | 24–40 / 39–65 / 60–87 / 80–130 / 130–175 mm |
| Total coverage | 24–175 mm continuous — the five ranges overlap, so there is no dead band |

Turning 8 kN per pedestal into a floor load
The number specifiers actually need is kN/m², which depends on your pedestal grid. At 8.0 kN per pedestal:
| Pedestal grid | Per m² | Distributed load |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 × 0.5 m | 4.00 | 32.0 kN/m² |
| 0.6 × 0.6 m | 2.78 | 22.2 kN/m² |
| 0.8 × 0.8 m | 1.56 | 12.5 kN/m² |
| 1.0 × 1.0 m | 1.00 | 8.0 kN/m² |
Read this as arithmetic, not as a guarantee. These figures carry no safety factor and must be signed off by the project's structural engineer. More importantly, 8 kN is what the pedestal will carry — it says nothing about what your roof slab or balcony structure is allowed to carry. Those are two separate limits and the building structure is almost always the governing one.
Certification
ISO 9001 (IAS25924Q1473R0M) and ISO 14001 (IAS25924E0394R0M), both valid to 29 April 2027. The registered scope of these certificates is the research, production and sale of wood-plastic composite products for construction — we quote the scope rather than implying it covers every line item, because buyers check. If you need independent load testing on the pedestal itself, we can arrange it: you pay the lab fee up front and we credit it in full against the order.
FAQ
How many height ranges are there? Five, and five is all of them. They overlap at the joins (39–40, 60–65, 80–87, 130 mm), so anything between 24 mm and 175 mm is reachable without a packer.
What is the lowest build-up you can achieve? 24 mm to the top of the pedestal, before the joist and board. On balcony retrofits this is usually the deciding number, because you are working to whatever clearance the existing door leaf leaves you.
Do the pedestals penetrate the waterproofing? No. They are a loose-laid, gravity-held system, which is the reason they get specified over a fixed substructure on membrane roofs.
Can I get a sample? Samples are free — you cover the courier, and we credit it against your first order.
